~About 5 degrees in the water~

Treasures ~ see the tiny starfish hiding inside the tiny shell?

~A true favorite~

As you can see we have had a streak of fine days! I will admit that the temperatures were a little too high some of the days, we had over 30 degrees and I am not a person who enjoys high temperatures and all the sweating. We escaped to the ocean, to get away from the heat and the insects that bother us at this time of the year.

It is truly a favorite summer time activity, to escape to the ocean, and each time I am there I wished we lived by the sea. The children are actually old enough to play for long stretches of time without me so I enjoyed my book for long periods of time. The snow child is a favorite of mine, this is the third time I am reading it. The delicate story, the hardships and the fairytale atmosphere of it captivates me each time. I really enjoyed her second book as well, To the bright edge of the world, which I will reread some time soon.

We are right in the middle of summer, though it feels like it is flying by so quickly. I am spending a few days at work for some hours developing a "nature school" activity that I will be guiding children with during autumn. Otherwise our plans are mainly to take it easy and take each day at a time.

I hope to come with a garden update soon! It is turning out to be a bit of a disaster this year…...

Until the next time. xxx
